Basketball Recap: Jackson Center Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Jackson Center challenged Minster on Tuesday. The Jackson Center Tigers lost 60-37 to the Minster Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 387th, while the Wildcats are ranked 77th).

Jackson Center has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Minster, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson Center will take on Fairlawn at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jackson Center is facing Fairlawn at the right time seeing as Fairlawn is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Minster, they will challenge New Knoxville at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Minster's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while New Knoxville has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
