Soccer Recap: Oswego East Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 2-2 at halftime, Oswego East was not quite Oswego's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 5-2. While losing is never fun, Oswego East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Oswego are ranked 15th).

Mckenzie Coleman and Catie Sloan scored both of Oswego East's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Oswego East's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1-2 and their overall record down to 4-4-5. As for Oswego, they pushed their record up to 14-2-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Oswego East wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 5-0 defeat against Downers Grove North on the 1st. As for Oswego, they have also already played their next game, a 7-0 victory against Bolingbrook on the 1st.
