Basketball Game Preview: Latta Panthers vs. Atoka Wampus Cats

Latta and Atoka are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Latta Panthers will be playing at home against the Atoka Wampus Cats at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Latta was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 39-35 to Prague. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Atoka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 74-37 loss at the hands of Wilburton.

Atoka's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Latta, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
