Preview: Delran Bears vs. KIPP Cooper Norcross
The Delran Bears will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against KIPP Cooper Norcross at 5:30 p.m. on January 22nd. Delran will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 358th, while KIPP Cooper Norcross is ranked 148th).
On Saturday, things could have been worse for Delran, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-48 loss to Doane Academy. Delran has not had much luck with Doane Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, KIPP Cooper Norcross entered their tilt with Florence Township Memorial with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. KIPP Cooper Norcross was the clear victor by a 56-36 margin over Florence Township Memorial. KIPP Cooper Norcross has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.
Delran has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for KIPP Cooper Norcross, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
Delran lost to KIPP Cooper Norcross on the road by a decisive 49-35 margin when the teams last played on January 2nd. Can Delran avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
