Baseball Game Preview: Bountiful RedHawks vs. Roy Royals

For the second straight game, Bountiful will face off against Roy. The RedHawks will head out to square off against the Royals at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games Bountiful has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Monday, Bountiful needed a bit of extra time to put away Roy. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Royals, sneaking past 4-3.

Corey Erickson tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Hudson Malmrose was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Boedi Crandall also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Bountiful is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Roy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.
