Baseball Recap: Clintonville Takes a Loss

Clintonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 13-3 to the Freedom Irish. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Truckers of the 9-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Clintonville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Linken Korth, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Carter Longsine also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Clintonville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Freedom, they moved to 5-10 with that win, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

While Clintonville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
