Dixie proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 12) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Flyers have posted since March 12th.

Carter Turley was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one run. Colton Hill was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Dixie has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Crimson Cliffs, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-7.

Dixie will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
