Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's-Colgan Triumphs

St. Mary's-Colgan saw some tournament action on Thursday. They came out on top against the East Newton Patriots by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Bella Ascanio paced St. Mary's-Colgan's offense, picking up seven kills. Ascanio got some help from Addi Dewey and her seven assists. Callie Lundy controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

St. Mary's-Colgan now has a winning record of 4-3. As for East Newton, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

St. Mary's-Colgan has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Frontenac on the 13th. As for East Newton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Columbus on the 11th.
