Basketball Game Preview: Webster Bearcats vs. Redfield Pheasants

The Webster Bearcats will take on the Redfield Pheasants at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Webster is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Webster challenged Great Plains Lutheran on Tuesday. Webster took a 59-42 bruising from Great Plains Lutheran.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-38, which was the final score in Redfield's tilt against Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] on Tuesday. The Pheasants haven't had much luck with the Battlers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Webster's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Redfield, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.

Everything came up roses for Webster against Redfield in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 79-42 win. Will Webster repeat their success, or does Redfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
