Basketball Recap: North Mecklenburg Skates Past Southeast Guilford with Ease

It's playoff time, and North Mecklenburg had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 71-32 victory over the Southeast Guilford Falcons. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 contests by 22 points or more this season.

North Mecklenburg found their leader in sophomore Lenise Joseph, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 15 boards. Joseph has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 16 times she's played. Morgan Knox was another key player, shooting 75% from the field to rack up 14 points and six rebounds.

North Mecklenburg is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 41.7 points. Southeast Guilford dropped their record down to 14-11 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

North Mecklenburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-54 win against Butler on the 28th. Southeast Guilford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
