Sparks was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lowry Buckaroos, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Railroaders of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August.

Sparks was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Lowry work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 26-24, 25-11.

Vanessa Lott was the offensive standout of the game as she had 14 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted in her last five matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalli Raabe, who had eight digs and two aces.

Sparks' defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Lowry, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 10-11 record.

Sparks will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hug at 6:00 p.m. on October 16th.
