Basketball Game Preview: Clinton Red Tornadoes vs. Tuttle Tigers

The Clinton Red Tornadoes will square off against the Tuttle Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Clinton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 100-9 win over ASTEC Charter. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Tuttle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-58 heartbreaker at the hands of Shawnee. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 298th, while the Wolves are ranked 124th).

Clinton's win bumped their record up to 7-16. As for Tuttle, their loss dropped their record down to 4-16.

Things could have been worse for Clinton, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-35 loss to Tuttle in their previous meeting back in February of 2024.
