Evangelical Christian is a perfect 3-0 against White Station since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Evangelical Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
Evangelical Christian managed to slip by Covington the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eagles came up short against the Chargers on Thursday, falling 12-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.
Evangelical Christian got a good showing from Harrison Smith, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest earned runs Smith has allowed since back in March.

At the plate, Banks Addison made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and earned one run and three stolen bases. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.
White Station never got on the board in their matchup on Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against West Memphis on Wednesday. They blew past the Blue Devils 16-6. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by ten runs or more this season.
Cooper Walter was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, White Station let Benjamin Mendez and Julian Haddad run wild. Mendez went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Haddad went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Haddad has hit this season. Michael Arnold was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.
White Station always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Memphis only posted an OBP of .423.
White Station is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Evangelical Christian, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 18-8 record.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Evangelical Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338. However, it's not like White Station struggles in that department as they've averaged .335. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Evangelical Christian's way against White Station in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Evangelical Christian made off with a 15-5 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
