Owyhee is a perfect 5-0 against Mountain View since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Owyhee Storm will look to defend their home field against the Mountain View Mavericks at 12:00 p.m. Mountain View took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Owyhee, who comes in off a win.

Owyhee is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Friday. They put the hurt on Centennial with a sharp 12-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Storm in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won five in a row.

Hailey Brennan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Brennan was even better at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Elysa Gaytan and Bella Fazzio did most of the damage at the plate: Gaytan went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs, while Fazzio scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs Gaytan has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenna Schab, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Mountain View scored first but ultimately less than Eagle in their game on Friday. They lost 12-3 to the Mustangs.

Brooke Austin was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Afton Janke, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Owyhee took their victory against Mountain View in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 18-1. Will Owyhee repeat their success, or does Mountain View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
