Recap: Union Yellowjackets vs. Sebastopol Bobcats
After a string of 12 wins, the Union Yellowjackets's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sebastopol. Union was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played on January 11th.
Union's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kylee Madden, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that Madden pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gracyn Tillman, who scored 18 points.
Union's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-4. As for Sebastopol, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.
Union will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. J.Z. George is no doubt hoping to put an end to a ten-game streak of away losses. As for Sebastopol, they will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
