Harpeth Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Hickman County Eagles. On the bright side, the 11- run effort marked the Honeybears' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Katelyn Riojas stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 3-for-5 with three doubles, four RBI, and two runs. Taylor Hurst was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Harpeth Hall's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for East Hickman County, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-8.

Coming up, Harpeth Hall will square off against Ensworth at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Hickman County, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-4 defeat against Harpeth on the 15th.
