Baseball Game Preview: Spring Lions vs. Eisenhower Eagles

For the second straight game, Spring will face off against Eisenhower. Spring will square off against Eisenhower at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Spring has five straight victories, Eisenhower has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Tuesday, Spring beat Eisenhower 4-1.

Carson Culbertson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Spring's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Austin Wilkerson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Wilkerson a new career-high.

Spring pushed their record up to 11-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Eisenhower, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
