Baseball Recap: Pallotti Sets Scoring Season-High Against Sts. Peter & Paul

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pallotti). They blew past the Sts. Peter & Paul Sabres 14-1 on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Pallotti let Steven Buckner and Gus Chackmakian-Lodge run wild. Buckner scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Chackmakian-Lodge went a perfect 2-for-2 with six RBI, one triple, and one run. Buckner has become a key player for Pallotti: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Ryan Cobb-Davis was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

Pallotti was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .524. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Pallotti's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Sts. Peter & Paul, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
