Basketball Recap: Watervliet Takes a Loss

Watervliet suffered their biggest loss since December 10, 2024 on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Constantine Falcons. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Marissa Lowell was Watervliet's leading scorer, having posted four points. Daijahnae Hatcher held things down on the boards with five rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Watervliet and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Constantine, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Watervliet will challenge Michigan Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Constantine, they will welcome Saugatuck at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saugatuck will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Constantine surely won't give up without a fight.
