Basketball Recap: Pawhuska Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Pawhuska waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 50-34 victory over the Frontier Mustangs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 65-37 back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pawhuska to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brooklyn Miles, who dropped a triple-double on 17 points, 12 boards, and ten steals. Miles is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Hannah Reynolds, who posted 13 points in addition to five blocks and three steals.

Pawhuska's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Frontier, they moved to 7-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pawhuska will venture away from home to face off against Newkirk at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Frontier, they will head out to take on Tonkawa at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Frontier is facing Tonkawa at the right time seeing as Tonkawa is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
