Recap: Paoli Rams vs. Clarksville Generals
The Paoli Rams scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Clarksville 53-22 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Paoli has managed all season.
Carley Higgins was her usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with four steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Paoli's points. Jehrico Hopper was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Despite the defeat, Clarksville had strong showings from Aaliyah Watts, who scored four points along with six rebounds, and Jayonna Shirley, who scored four points along with eight rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Clarksville struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Paoli racked up 13 assists.
Paoli's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-6. As for Clarksville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Paoli will head out on the road to face off against Barr-Reeve at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Clarksville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Austin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Austin presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Clarksville in Indiana (Austin is ranked 109th, while Clarksville is ranked 313th).
