Soccer Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Skyline was not quite Niwot's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2. Skyline were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Niwot apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Ronaldo Ibarra and David Flores scored both of Skyline's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Skyline dropped their record down to 4-10-1 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Niwot, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4-2.

Skyline does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Niwot, they will challenge Glenwood Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Glenwood Springs' last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
