Soccer Game Preview: Sam Houston vs. Grand Prairie

The Sam Houston Texans will challenge the Grand Prairie Gophers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Sam Houston fell victim to Lamar and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Texans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 421st, while the Vikings are ranked 159th).

Meanwhile, Grand Prairie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to South Grand Prairie.

Grand Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Sam Houston, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
