Basketball Recap: Red Rock Central Takes a Loss

Red Rock Central lost against Russell-Tyler-Ruthton back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Red Rock Central Falcons were dealt an 86-51 loss at the hands of the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Red Rock Central's loss came despite strong showings from Henry Stavnes and Abe Stavnes. Henry went 6 for 13 on his way to 17 points and seven boards, while Abe posted 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Finn Batalden was another key player, putting up six points.

Red Rock Central dropped their record down to 2-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Russell-Tyler-Ruthton, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Red Rock Central will host Tracy-Milroy-Balaton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Red Rock Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Russell-Tyler-Ruthton, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Adrian/Ellsworth at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Russell-Tyler-Ruthton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
