Davie extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 11-12 in the process. They blew past the Glenn Bobcats 13-3. The War Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

Davie got a great performance from Tucker Hobbs as he struck out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). The War Eagles are 4-2 when Hobbs allows one or fewer earned runs, but 7-10 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Coy James was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kason Stewart, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.

Davie kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive contests.

As for Glenn, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-11 record. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered against Davie since May 2, 2022.

On Glenn's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Winters, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Davie will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bobcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
