Basketball Game Preview: Leetonia Bears vs. Bristol Panthers

The Leetonia Bears will face off against the Bristol Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Friday, Leetonia ended up a good deal behind Waterloo and lost 55-41. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The losing side was boosted by Brayden Earl, who posted ten points and six rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, Bristol suffered their biggest loss since February 16, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by Perry 74-40. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 468th, while the Pirates are ranked 229th).

Bristol's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Leetonia, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17.
