Recap: Wasatch Academy Tigers vs. AZ Compass Prep National Dragons
The Wasatch Academy Tigers are ranked highly in their home state, and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of the AZ Compass Prep National Dragons. Wasatch Academy walked away with a 71-63 victory over AZ Compass Prep National. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Wasatch Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was John Mobley Jr., who scored 22 points. The contest was Mobley Jr.'s sixth in a row with at least ten points. Bhan Buom was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Wasatch Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for AZ Compass Prep National, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Wasatch Academy is on the road again on Saturday and play against Varsity Opponent. As for AZ Compass Prep National, they will face off against IMG Academy at TBD on Friday.
