Basketball Recap: North Fork Drops Highest Score of Season Against Olathe

North Fork scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 72-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Olathe Pirates. Even though they lost, the Miners' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.4 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Despite the loss, North Fork still got an impressive performance from Moss Inman, who dropped a double-double with 33 points and 14 rebounds. With that strong performance, Inman is now averaging an impressive 15.7 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of David Audelo, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 17 boards.

Even though they lost, North Fork smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive contests.

It was another big night for Isaiah Gordon, who posted 33 points in addition to five assists and three blocks for Olathe. Gordon's afternoon made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Jeyden Estrada was another key player, going 5 for 11 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds.

North Fork's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Olathe, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 9-10.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Ouray the next time they take the court. Olathe will head out to face Ouray at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while North Fork will head out to face them at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
