Basketball Recap: Montverde Academy Takes Down Ranked Millennium

Montverde Academy is ranked highly in their home state and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Millennium. The Montverde Academy Eagles snuck past the Millennium Tigers with a 68-63 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Montverde Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than CJ Ingram, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. With that strong performance, Ingram is now averaging an impressive 8.4 boards per game. Dante Allen was another key player, putting up 12 points and four steals.

Montverde Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Millennium, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montverde Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Southeastern Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Montverde Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 81.6 points per game this season. Millennium will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Tualatin at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th.
