Baseball Recap: Portage Central Has No Trouble Against Grandville

Portage Central won the last time they faced Grandville and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mustangs walked away with a 6-2 win over the Bulldogs. The contest marked the Mustangs' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Portage Central got a great performance from Noah Klein as he didn't allow a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched. Klein also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Mustangs are 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 1-3 otherwise.

At the plate, Portage Central saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylan McNally, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Portage Central's record is now 3-4. As for Grandville, they moved to 5-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Portage Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair will be back at it again later today.
