Basketball Recap: Northeastern Takes a Loss

Northeastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Southeastern Local Trojans and fell 74-18. The Jets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-14.

Taylor Krauss was Northeastern's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Alison Shaner held things down on the boards with seven rebounds. Chloe Waugh took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Northeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Southeastern Local, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Northeastern and Greenon will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Southeastern Local, they will be home for the holidays to greet West Jefferson at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
