Softball Recap: Hampden Triumphs

Hampden got themselves on the board against Hermon on Tuesday, but Hermon never followed suit. They skirted past the Hawks 1-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Broncos have posted against the Hawks since May 4, 2021.

Not much got past Cat Facchini, who gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks to keep Hermon off the board. Facchini has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hampden secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Kiera Gabric, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Gabric has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Hampden's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Hermon, with the defeat, they broke their 11-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-2.

As of now, neither Hampden nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
