Basketball Recap: Marco Falcon Key Part of a Team Effort in Roadrunners Win

There's no place like home for Calexico Mission, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They took down the Borrego Springs Rams 47-30 on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 48-23 back in January.

Calexico Mission's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marco Falcon, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 boards. Calexico Mission is 2-1 when Falcon posts ten or more rebounds, but 0-6 otherwise. Luis Arevalo also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Defeat or not, Borrego Springs got some senior leadership from Jose Arias and Alan Rodriguez-Osuna. Arias posted seven points and five boards, while Rodriguez-Osuna earned nine points and seven rebounds. Those seven points gave Arias a new career-high.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-7. As for Borrego Springs, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-14.

Coming up, Calexico Mission will venture away from home to take on West Shores at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Borrego Springs, they will welcome Julian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
