Soccer Game Preview: Wapato vs. Royal

Wapato is 0-6 against Royal since September of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. Wolves will venture away from home to challenge the Knights at 6:00 p.m. Wapato has given up an average of 6.2 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

In Saturday's Canine Competition, Wapato had to take the L. They came up short against Cashmere on Saturday, falling 16-0. While losing is never fun, Wapato can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 268th, while Cashmere are ranked 45th).

Meanwhile, Royal kept a clean sheet against Zillah on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Leopards, sneaking past 1-0. Royal haven't had any issues with Zillah recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Wapato's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Royal, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Wapato suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Royal in their previous matchup back in September. Can Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
