Volleyball Recap: Monday's Defeat Ends Tempe's Winning Streak

After a string of five wins, Tempe's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 3-1 to the Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-7, 21-25, 25-16.

Tempe's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Desert Sunrise, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Tempe is set to face off against their familiar foe Yuma at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Desert Sunrise will challenge rival Coronado at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
