Volleyball Recap: Castle Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Castle waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Evansville Central Bears. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Castle was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-8, 25-13.

Castle found their leader in sophomore Hera Sun, who had six digs and two aces. Sun also set a new season-high mark in assists with 23. Molly Herrmann also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Castle's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Evansville Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Castle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Jennings County on the 20th. As for Evansville Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Evansville North on the 24th.
