Quincy Notre Dame is 7-1 against Mendon Unity since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Raiders will challenge the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Quincy Notre Dame is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Quincy Notre Dame got the win against Harrisburg by a conclusive 9-2.

Brodie Howe tossed a big game, striking out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits.

On the hitting side, Quincy Notre Dame got a massive performance out of Kaden Marth, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those two stolen bases gave Marth a new career-high. Logan Sutton was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Mendon Unity's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Liberty by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Mustangs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Mendon Unity saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Frese, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Mendon Unity's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Quincy Notre Dame, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.

Quincy Notre Dame was able to grind out a solid win over Mendon Unity in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
