Rhea County is 2-8 against Cleveland since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles will challenge the Blue Raiders at 5:30 p.m. The last three games Rhea County has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Monday, Rhea County had just enough and edged out Cookeville 11-9.

Allie Shaver made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI.

On the hitting side, Cleveland let Lilly Mason and Landri Nelson run wild. Mason went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI, while Nelson scored two runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Farnsworth, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Cleveland's record now sits at 10-11. As for Rhea County, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9.
