Mountain Ridge had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 12-6 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Copper Hills Grizzlies 7-6. This was a revenge game for the Sentinels: when they faced off against the Grizzlies on Tuesday, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Karson Fankhauser tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over 5.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brody Garrard, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Leo Bacciocco, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

As for Copper Hills, they dropped their record down to 3-15 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. On the bright side, the six- run performance marked their highest-scoring matchup to date.

On Copper Hills' side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kasen Nelson, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that Nelson has brought in this season.

Mountain Ridge will have a chance to go back-to-back against Copper Hills: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
