Basketball Recap: Jason Hernandez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Green River over Panguitch + How To Watch

Green River fought the good fight in their overtime game against Panguitch on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 59-53 to the Bobcats. The matchup marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Green River lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jason Hernandez, who posted 24 points along with seven boards and five assists. Hernandez is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 17 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Rolando Anguiano, who earned 14 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds.

Casey Walter had an outrageously good game for Panguitch as he dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 boards. Those 17 points gave Walter a new career-high. Taycen Ramsay was another key player, putting up eight points.

Green River has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Panguitch, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

Green River wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 67-62 victory against Tabiona on the 10th. As for Panguitch, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-51 loss against Wayne on the 10th.
