Baseball Recap: Woodstock Comes Up Short

Woodstock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grayslake Central Rams. The Blue Streaks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rams from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Woodstock saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angelo Pacini, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The Blue Streaks are 2-1 when Pacini posts two or more runs, but 2-9 otherwise. Another was Noah Rodriguez, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Woodstock's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Grayslake Central, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.

Looking ahead, Woodstock will head out on the road to face off against Lakes at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Blue Streaks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Grayslake Central, they will welcome Von Steuben at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
