Baseball Game Preview: Yukon Millers vs. Choctaw Yellowjackets

The Yukon Millers will venture away from home to face off against the Choctaw Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Choctaw's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Yukon hadn't allowed a single run the last four times they've hit the field. The Millers never let Capitol Hill get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Monday.

Meanwhile, Choctaw faced Moore in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets blew past the Lions 10-0. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Yukon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Choctaw, their victory bumped their record up to 22-7.

Everything went Yukon's way against Choctaw in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Yukon made off with an 8-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Millers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
