Baseball Recap: Kings Knights vs. Loveland Tigers
Kings extended their losing streak to five on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 4-7 in the process. They lost 12-5 to the Loveland Tigers. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
As for Loveland, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
For Loveland's part, Rylan Litchfield looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Litchfield has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Dylan Hacker was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Blake Carrigan was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Looking ahead, Kings will head out to take on West Clermont at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Loveland will be paying especially close attention to the Knights' contest: after the Knights face off against the Wolves, they'll take on Loveland again at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
