Softball Recap: Coppell Comes Up Short

Coppell lost against Marcus back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Coppell fell just short of Marcus by a score of 5-3. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Riley Warren made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Cecilia Bourque was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Coppell's loss dropped their record down to 13-9-1. As for Marcus, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Coppell is set to challenge their familiar foe Hebron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Marcus will face off against rival Lewisville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
