Soccer Recap: Hopewell Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Hopewell's offense. They fell 2-0 to the Quaker Valley Quakers on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Hopewell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while Quaker Valley are ranked 93rd).

Hopewell dropped their record down to 8-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Quaker Valley, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-2-1.

Hopewell wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 9-1 victory against Mohawk Area on the 9th. As for Quaker Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-0 win against Ellwood City on the 9th.
