Basketball Game Preview: Sequatchie County Indians vs. Tyner Academy Rams

Having just played yesterday, the Sequatchie County Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Tyner Academy Rams at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Sequatchie County turned things around against Marion County on Monday. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 58-51.

Meanwhile, Tyner Academy entered their tilt with Germantown on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 52-44 victory over the Red Devils.

Tyner Academy is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.9 points per game. As for Sequatchie County, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.

Sequatchie County was dealt a bruising 73-35 loss at the hands of Tyner Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Tyner Academy's Zion Pinkerton, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds.
