Basketball Game Preview: Fullerton Indians vs. Costa Mesa Mustangs

The Fullerton Indians will head out to challenge the Costa Mesa Mustangs at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Fullerton will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Fullerton earned a 52-45 win over Godinez Fundamental. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 425th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 884th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Costa Mesa hadn't done well against Calvary Chapel recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Costa Mesa enjoyed a cozy 64-50 victory over Calvary Chapel. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Costa Mesa is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Fullerton, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.
