Volleyball Recap: Medina Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Warrensville Heights on Friday, Medina Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Knights lost 3-0 to the Andrews Osborne Academy Phoenix on Tuesday. The Knights have struggled against the Phoenix recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-20, 25-16.

Medina Christian Academy's offense was headlined by Ashley Conwill and Hailey Mendrea, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Ally Glau and her 12 assists. Addi Wolf and Ava Sems kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Andrews Osborne Academy can attribute much of their success to Iris Parker, who had nine digs and two aces.

Medina Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Andrews Osborne Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Medina Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Columbia on the 14th. As for Andrews Osborne Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Western Reserve Academy on the 8th.
