Soccer Recap: Travelers Rest Comes Up Short

Travelers Rest was the 8-0 winner over Pickens when they last played one another back in April of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Devildogs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Flame on Tuesday.

Travelers Rest's goal came courtesy of Mia Woodard, which was the first she's scored this season.

Travelers Rest's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Pickens, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-5 record.

Travelers Rest didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 4-0 defeat against Seneca on the 11th. As for Pickens, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 5-1 victory against Blue Ridge on the 11th.
