League recap: Marshall overpowering for Cocalico in past week

Adam Marshall was the best pitcher in the league this week. He won one game and struck out nine batters.

With a rough week, Ephrata dropped out of the state's top 25 rankings. Ephrata fell from No. 14 to No. 47 after going 1-1 over the past week. The Mountaineers are ranked No. 1383 in the nation, and have an overal record of 16-5.

The Mountaineers stole 13 bases this week, adding to their league-leading 97 steals on the year. Given the green light by manager Adrian Shelley, Timmy Murray has racked up 24 steals on his own this season for Ephrata.

Cocalico gave up the fewest hits in the league over the past week (five), but the Mountaineers have surrendered a league-fewest 133 base hits over the entire season.
